The coach is therefore dual purpose. The type of luggage allowed are usually personal effects, small bags and dry cargo. Though these loads could be a source of inconvenience to passengers, its culturally offensive to criticize or complain about the merchandise because its interpreted as an affront to the owner's trade.

Trotro passengers at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange, Accra, Ghana are appreciative of the restoration of the lawns that greet them on arrival.  The lawn had always been green till over commercialization of the Circle turned it to bare grounds. In the background is the southern section of the Interchange that leads to and from Accra Central through Adabraka.

The Sabon Zongo trotro route in Accra Ghana traverses Abossey Okai to the east, Ayigbe town to the west and then passes through Gaskia Cinema onwards to Damsoman or Latebiorkorshie. Its a busy route for trotro buses who connect to Russia and Mallam. This picture shows the Happy days stretch of a section of the road.

Trotro buses in Accra, Ghana hardly go through Labone, a suburb that lies to the south. However, during peak traffic, they may take a detour off the Ring East East to south Labone, transit Apapa and move on to Labadi, Nungua, Tema or 37. This photo shows one of the alternative routes. This routes leads from the Labone secondary school, through Ecobank, Apapa and then onwards to Labadi.

This picture shows a rare Accra Ghana trotro route from the Central Business District to Nima and Maamobi. During intense traffic on the Kojo Thompson Road, from Tudu, South, to Kokomlemle, North East, trotro Drivers will make a smart detour at SSNIT Trust Towers near the Holy Spirit cathedral, Masai junction, head towards Star Life and then make a left turn towards Ring Road Central. In this picture, Comsys, an IT Firm, situates to the left, and Barclay Bank, to the right. Asylum Down and Ridge are among the few neighborhoods in Accra without trotro stations nor stops. Trotro buses do not actually ply these routes.

Trotro commuters moving towards or out of the Palm Wine junction area may encounter a slight delay as a crane bearing truck breaks down within the shell filing station, in front of the Zenith Bank car park. Its not known what cauied the fault but its visible the middle differential of the truck is grounded. The shell filling station at Palm Wine provides a quick access to La Wireless, Circle, Osu and Nungua. The presence of the truck means trotro buses will need to make a detour or pile up as they exit or enter the station. Palm Wine junction is to the east of Accra, on the 37 Military hospital and La Palm Beach hotel road.

This old Mercedes Truck was found parked at the Kpogas trotro bus stop, Accra, Ghana. It is common to see such antiquated vehicles in Ghana because of high maintenance culture.  This truck may be 40 years old, judging from the design technology, but it still runs smooth and performs all duties except that it may not be so fast. Such vehicles port heavy cargo across short distances and have an astonishing roadworthy status despite their antiquity.

The Ghana trotro route from Kaneshie to Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra has been diverted at the railway Crossing. Passengers arriving from Mallam, Odorkor, Kasoa, Gbawe or Kwashieman will now either alight at Times or railway station near Circle. The diversion is to allow the contractors to asphalt the south lanes of the Interchange. Trotro Commuters will experience a slight delay in arriving at or departing from at Circle now because the drivers will choose one of these options to manage the trip. Drive from Obetsebi Circle through Graphic road to Accra brewery and then turn towards Toyota House. At the newly constructed railway crossing over the Graphic Road, they will make a right turn, cross the bridge over the Odaw River at Ecomog and drive onwards towards the railway station whe...

Ghana Accra Trotro passengers who disembark onto pavement at the newly constructed Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange will have a delightful relief. The new sidewalks have anti slip steps that will help prevent the numerous falls that befall pedestrians at the terminal. The Construction firm Queroz Galvao has layed special pavement blocks with stomps to improve friction on these numerous pavements that line the Interchange. Trotro bus stops seldom have shelters. Passengers on most occasions hover around a junction, intersection, lanes,  malls or popular spots. In this picture, the man is patiently waiting for a trotro bus on the kerb. He is west bound to locations like Kaneshie, Odorkor, Mallam or Dansoman. It takes averagely 15 minutes to obtain a trotro bus along a route during the day.
