Circle Kaneshie trotro route over the Nkrumah circle

The new flyover at Nkrumah circle provides a quick trotro route to Kaneshie and Mallam. From Kanda or Osu, the bus goes over the interchange and descends at New Times corporation. This route helps the bus save about 30 minutes of delay incurred when meandering the maze of other trotro buses at the former circle grounds.

Alternate trotro route to Accra. Old Circle Overhead bridge.

An alternate trotro route from New Town to Accra passes through the old Nkrumah Circle overhead near the Iran Clinic.  If the trotro driver avoids the P and T road, the most economical route to reach Accra is to go though the Joy FM junction, make a left turn towards Niagara Hotel and onwards to Adabraka. The old overhead bridge will remain intact despite the construction of the new interchange. Vehicles from Osu and Kanda will pass under it to reach Kaneshie [straight] or Alajo [right]

Trotro travel along Accra Labadi Osu Road early morning

Trotro buses in Accra, Ghana slow down towards the traffic lights at the La Palm Beach. These buses are on their way to Tema, Nungua or Teshie. At 7.30 am weekday, the traffic is quite sparse but will peak about 8.30 and subside at 10 am. The Beach road is highly favored by trotro buses because most of the commuters go by that route to reach inner city neighborhoods like Osu and Accra.
