Trotro bus with hilarious flat tire

This trotro bus is making it gradually to the nearest vulcanizer after incurring a flat tire at Atico junction, in the west of Accra. The bus was returning from Odokor a suburb near Mallam when it had this hilarious flat tire. Vulcanisers are easy to find along the trotro routes of Accra so this driver will not need to go far.

Trotro buses park at a bus stop across the high courts on the High Street Accra. They are boarding to Osu, Labadi, Tema and Nungua. Passenger from Arena, Post Office, Tema station and Jamestown aggregate at this point to transit to the east of Accra.

Trotro bus at Accra central

This Tata trotro bus is alighting passengers at the Melcom trotro bus stop at Opera Square, Accra.  The bus is arriving from Odokor, travelling trough Kaneshie, Abossey Okai, Jamestown, and the post office. The bus seats about 50 passengers and roomy compared to its mini bus counterparts. It has exit and entrance so easy to disembark. But it takes time to fill up and is slow on the way. It may have been in service since 1980 but very roadworthy and .comfortable. Due to its large size, it has 2 conductors - one helps passengers with boarding and alighting, the other collects the fare.

Trotro bus approaches Danquah Circle in Accra

This image is taken from a Nissan trotro bus as it approaches the Danquah Circle from the Sankara circle. This bus began its journey from the Kwame Nkrumah Circle in the north west of Accra, passed through Paloma, Mobil, GBC and Sankara. The 2007 Toyota Hiace trotro bus is driving straight across the Fire service intersection to reach the UN offices and continue past Nyaniba estates to Labadi.
