Commuters traveling the 37  Palm wine Labadi Trade Fair trotro route may experience a temporary hold up due to a zero-casualty accident on the road, near the Trade fair central gate traffic light. An articulated truck has veered off the right lane into the left one, thus blocking two lanes on the three lane highway. Passengers  traveling the south trotro route towards La Palm Beach hotel in the inner and left lanes will be the most inconvenienced. Vodafone Neoplan station trotro route detour

The trotro route from the Vodafone Offices at Circle to Neoplan station has been closed for deep excavation. The works will allow the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange contractors Queroz Galvao to plant huge drains to guide water out of the area. Flood control is one of the reasons why the Circle is being rebuilt. Trotro passengers who would have traveled from the Vodafone traffic lights to the GCB tower direct will now make a detour through Neoplan station. Affected routes are Achimota/Lapaz/.Avenor/New Town Kaneshie/Labadi traffic.

Kaneshie Accra trotro route may be slowed down

The Kaneshie Accra trotro route through Kingsway may become slowed down because a Mazda B trotro bus has been grounded in the right lane that goes up the hill. The occupation of the bus in the right lane means vehicles from Circle will pile up behind the faulty vehicle and slow down those from Kaneshie. This route services drivers looking to circumvent the Graphic production road. In the picture, the driver is trying to repair the bus whilst the conductor looks on. Most trotro drivers are mechanics.

Arena Labadi trotro route diverted due to Fire

The Arena Labadi trotro route has been closed this morning due to a fire outbreak at the Grand View Hotel, close to the Accra Children’s Hospital. The blaze has trapped lodgers at the two upper floors. Witnesses say the fire is intense in the corridors so people cant escape. A combined team from the Ghana army, Police and the Fire Department are managing the situation. The Firemen have brought in fire trucks with ladders to reach the upper floors whilst the Soldiers and Police keep security. The hotel has some financial companies offices and luxury shops at the ground floor so security is required to prevent any intrusion. Accra trotro route diverted – Kaneshie to Kanda

The Accra trotro route from Kaneohe to Kanda through the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange at circle has been diverted. Motorists from Kaneshie and Achimota will now have to head towards Accra and left turn at PTC - Global Access junction, and then make a leftward turn again towards the Interchange. At the Osu Klottey sub metro office, they will then pass right towards Obra Spot and onwards to Kanda. The temporary close is to allow the contractors Queiroz Galvão to begin asphalting the West - East roads around the interchange. With this situation, Accra trotro passengers from Kaneshie and Achimota who wanted to alight at Obra spot will now make a longer semi circular trip of about 5 minutes. We bring you pictures.

Trotro station at Circle relocated to Odawna Railways

The Accra trotro station at Kwame Nkrumah Circle has been relocated to the Odawna railways. The new trotro terminal is located alongside the rails that lead to Accra, about 20 meters from the main Kaneshie - Circle road. The move is to allow Queiroz Galvão, the contractors developing the new Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange, to do ground works The trotro stations affected by the relocation include Labadi, Achimota, Kaneshie, Odorkor, Mallam, Awoshie, Taifa, Nungua, Santa Maria, Dansoman, Kasoa, Dome, Adenta, Madina. All Southern routes and North east routes.
