Ghana private transport stakeholders including the GPRTU, Ministry of Transportation and the GRTCC have agreed to wait till next week before they decide on new trotro fares. The decision is to enable the group take into consideration new road toll prices which are reviewed periodically. The decision to increase was first prompted by an upward review in the prices of petroleum. In Ghana, the prices of fuel are not set by government but the state takes part in transport price negotiations because the Ministry of transpiration represents the public interest.
