Trotro passengers at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle interchange, Accra, Ghana are appreciative of the restoration of the lawns that greet them on arrival. The lawn had always been green till over commercialization of the Circle turned it to bare grounds. After a month of growth the grass has become fluffy and pedestrians could not he but admire the regrowth.
The greening of the Circle is in line with government efforts to make Accra an organic city – and no place would a good start than Kwame Nkrumah Circle which houses mobile phone shops and other electronic shops more than any other section of the city.
In the background is the southern section of the Interchange that leads to and from Accra Central through Adabraka.
