The side door of a 2007 Toyota HiAce trotro bus is is opened in anticipation of boarding passengers.  This bus is parked at the Swanmill bus stop in Central Accra, Ghana. Trotro buses are occupied from front to back. The seats near the doors fill up before the rear ones because passengers do not want to inconvenience others when alighting.  Trotro buses in Ghana do not have aisles. To disembark, others would have to make way by getting down or make way.

A white Mercedes Sprinter trotro bus comes to a stop at the Nima junction on the Ring Road central. The Ring Road Central is an important hub in the Accra trotro transportation system. It links the eastern section of the city to the west and south. Vehicles from Nungua, Teshie and Labadi rely on this road to reach Kanda, Circle, Kaneshie, Odorkor, Mallam and Abossey Okai.
