The Madina trotro station in Accra, Ghana lies to the east of the City. Its located around the market place on the Legon, Adenta highway. The station is linear so you can get down along any of the dotted stops up to the last point. The terminal is within the central trading place within the township. One of the largest and liveliest markets in Madina is situated on what is commonly referred to as Old Road, Chief Alhaji Seidu Street. The primary entrance is across from the Madina Divisional Police Station, and it extends from Madina Zongo intersection to Madina Polyclinic, Kekele. At the market, vendors, merchants, and service providers are busy and fiercely competitive. The market is more visible to tourists and travelers when vendors of different goods mix or set up a range of goods on tables and sidewalks along the street.

Over 80% of La Nkwantanang Madina is an urban municipality, however there are some isolated rural communities that are rapidly becoming peri-urban areas. However, the construction of residential and commercial real estate is quickly changing these towns. In many places, modern house construction is coexisting with a contrasting phenomenon of traditional livelihoods.
