About Kasoa
Kasoa has an interesting history. The town is natively called Odupongkpehe. It had a suburb called Kasoa which means market in the Hausa language. The main highway from Accra to Cape Coast passed through this market area. With time, shortage of land in Accra resulted in the rush for plots along this road.
