Commuters expecting a decrease in trotro fares following the recent marginal drop in fuel prices may be left disappointed. The GPRTU, the principal association of trotro operators in Ghana, has stated that until the prices of diesl drop substantially,there won’t be any review of trotro fares. According to the Union, the threshold for the consideration of prices review is 10 Cedis [ 66 cents ] per lite of diesel.

Diesel current sells at 15 Cedis per liter.
