ABOUT WINNEBA
Winneba is a midsized town of about 60,000 population and best known for its Aboakyer festival. Winneba has a quite a number of unique institutions – a Customs training center and a Police Academy. It used to have a music school, sports college and a teacher training enter which have all been merged into an university today.
One of the notable natives of the town is Mr Kojo Botsio who was a Minister for Minister for Trade and Industry in the first republic of Ghana. Winneba was the first natural harbor in Ghana for imports till 1962, The town has beautiful scenic beaches and serene holiday facilities.
